Alabama’s Annual Fan Appreciation Week Set For June 26-28

Alabama has announced the dates and special events for its upcoming annual Fan Appreciation Week in Fort Payne, Alabama, taking place June 26-28.

Keeping with tradition, Alabama’s Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry will treat their fans to various events including Gentry’s ‘Singing with the Stars’ Talent Contest, The Buffalo Nickel Coin Show, the Cook Castle Brunch Benefiting the Jeff and Lisa Cook Foundation, two June Jam Songwriters Showcases and Owen’s Fandemonium at the Farm.

“Our Fan Appreciation Weekend is designed around our true fans,” says Owen. “They can come to our hometown and spend a few days with us thanking them for over 50 years of support.”

“This is my favorite weekend of the year to spend time with the best fans in the world, all happening where we grew up,” adds Gentry.

Schedule of events and ticketing information:

Thursday, June 26: Teddy Gentry’s ‘Singing with the Stars’ Talent Contest – Fort Payne City Hall Auditorium. 6:00 pm. Doors open at 4:00 pm. Tickets are $15.00 in advance and $20.00 at the door. Call (256) 997-9700 to purchase tickets. Address: 100 Alabama Avenue NW, Fort Payne, AL. All proceeds will benefit the Dekalb County Children’s Advocacy Center.

Friday, June 27: Cook Castle Brunch Benefiting the Jeff and Lisa Cook Foundation – 10:00 am. Hosted by Lisa Cook and features a silent auction. Ticketing information to be released in the coming days via the foundation’s Facebook Page. Address: 1315 Scenic Rd E,  Fort Payne, AL.

Friday, June 27: The Buffalo Nickel Coin Show at the ALABAMA Band Fan Club – 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. ALABAMA Band Fan Club Members FREE admission. All others $1.00 donation. Proceeds to benefit the Dekalb County Children’s Advocacy Center. Address: 101 Glenn Blvd SW, Fort Payne, AL.

Friday, June 27: The ALABAMA Band ‘June Jam Songwriters Showcase ONE’ – Fort Payne City Hall Auditorium. Tickets $75.00 for ALABAMA Fan Club Members ONLY during PRESALE: Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19. Beginning Monday, April 21, ALL tickets $100.00 for both Fan Club Members and General Public at ALABAMA Fan Club and Museum: 101 Glenn Blvd SW, Fort Payne, AL. Tickets will be available for purchase at 10:00 am each sale day. To purchase by phone, call (256) 845-1646. NO sales on Easter Sunday as the ALABAMA Band Fan Club and Museum will be closed. ALL SEATS RESERVED. Limited capacity. The acclaimed ALABAMA ‘June Jam Songwriters Showcase’ will feature some of Country Music’s most awarded songwriters in an intimate acoustic setting performing their self-written hit songs and sharing the stories behind them. Proceeds to benefit the ALABAMA Band June Jam Foundation. Address: 100 Alabama Avenue NW, Fort Payne, AL. Performances begin at 7:00 pm. Doors open at 6:00 pm. *ALL tickets for both ALABAMA Songwriters Showcase performances (Friday and Saturday) will be picked up at the ALABAMA Band Fan Club and Museum the week of the events. NO tickets will be mailed. Tickets for both Friday and Saturday performances can be purchased at the same time. *Different lineup of songwriters scheduled for each evening*

Saturday, June 28: Randy Owen’s ‘Fandemonium at the Farm’ – Time TBA. Admission: $100.00 per person. Food and musical entertainment. All tickets will be sold at the gate day of event. Proceeds to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Location: Tennessee River Music. Address: 4518 County Road 255, Fort Payne, AL.
