Parker McCollum Reveals New Album Details During Rodeo Houston Show
Parker McCollum revealed the title and release date of his upcoming self-titled, fifth studio album to the sold-out crowd at Rodeo Houston on Friday night (March 21).
Marking his third consecutive sold-out appearance at Rodeo Houston, McCollum gave the lucky record crowd of 71,216 fans first access to pre-save the new album, due out June 27. The Conroe, Texas native offered up a 12-song set to the massive Lone Star crowd during the night packed with energy and unforgettable moments, including his son Major making his rodeo debut.
Teaming with songwriters including Jon Randall, Randy Rogers, Lori McKenna, Randy Montana, Liz Rose, Natalie Hemby, Monty Criswell and more, the new album was produced by Frank Liddell and recorded at the legendary Power Station studio in New York City. McCollum revisits the emotions around his unencumbered “wild years,” the pressures of measuring up to public and personal standards, some of the bad decisions and the unfathomable blessings that have all colored his life to this point on the new album.
