NSAI & Bob Kingsley Continue Partnership To Spotlight Developing Songwriters
NSAI is continuing its partnership with The Bob Kingsley Estate to help magnify the Top 40 brand Kingsley brought to prominence in country music and spotlight developing songwriters.
Kingsley was involved globally in syndication from 1974 until his passing in 2019, and had a simple directive for his 40-year plus countdown program: “pay it off with a song.” Since 2022, NSAI has produced Bob Kingsley’s NSAI Top 40, featuring songs from unsigned songwriters each quarter, providing selected songs a much-needed spotlight on social media and within the Nashville songwriting community.
“Each quarter NSAI posts a playlist of the best 40 songs from our non-professional members, songs that come through our programs and services from songwriters around the world,” says says NSAI Executive Director Bart Herbison. “We are honored to continue our partnership with Nan Kingsley and The Bob Kingsley Estate to honor Bob’s legacy, while also recognizing and inspiring a new generation of professional songwriters.”
Beginning in 2025, Bob Kingsley’s NSAI Top 40 songs will be highlighted during spotlight features within broadcasts of Bob Kingsley’s Countdown Classics on WSM-AM/Nashville. The latest list of selected songs can be found here.
