49 Winchester Is ‘Leavin’ This Holler’ Next Month

July 19, 2024/by Lorie Hollabaugh

49 Winchester will release their new project, Leavin’ This Holler, on Aug. 2 via New West Records.

The 10-song collection was produced by the band and Stewart Myers, and features appearances by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, singer-songwriter Maggie Antone, fiddler Philip Bowen, and guitarist Cole Chafin.

49 Winchester has dropped two new tracks from the forthcoming record, “Hillbilly Happy,” and “Make It Count,” after previously releasing a video for tune “Fast Asleep.” They’ve also shared “Yearnin’ For You” and “Tulsa,” which was one of the first songs written for the album in reference to both Don Williams‘ “Tulsa Time” as well as Kenny Rogers & The First Edition‘s “Tulsa Turnaround.”

Leavin’ This Holler follows their first project on the label, Fortune Favors the Bold, which amassed more than 150 million global streams. Captured in a handful of studios around the country during rare moments between touring schedules, the new album aims to maturely display the group’s mix of rollicking country and searing rock.

“We wanted to explore every possible sound we could on this record,” says lead singer/guitarist Isaac Gibson. “No stone left unturned sonically—we got it exactly where we wanted it.”

49 Winchester is currently on their “Leavin’ This Holler Tour,” which includes a two-night stand at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom. They also plan to headline the Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion, where some of their earliest performances took place, in September.

Leavin’ This Holler Track Listing:
1. “Favor”
2. “Hillbilly Happy”
3. “Yearnin’ For You”

5. “Leavin’ This Holler”
