Singer-songwriter Luke Grimes has signed a global publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music in collaboration with Range Media Partners.
The Yellowstone star’s debut song “No Horse To Ride” was featured in the mid-season series finale last year, and peaked at No. 7 on Billboard’s Country Digital Song Sales chart. Grimes grew up in Ohio and learned how to play music in church. After studying at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career and landed a role in the film American Sniper. In 2022, he signed with UMG Nashville and released his eight-song EP, Pain Pills or Pews, which has amassed 105 million total global streams to date, last year.
Grimes has collaborated with writers including Liz Rose, Nicolle Galyon, Jessi Alexander, Rodney Clawson, Brent Cobb and Randy Montana, among others, and will be releasing his self-titled debut album, produced by Dave Cobb, this Friday (March 8) via Capitol Records Nashville.
“When you meet Luke you quickly realize his deep love for creating music,” says Ben Vaughn, President & CEO, Warner Chappell Music Nashville. “We’ve been so impressed with how he has formed strong creative relationships with other amazing writers and his commitment to country music. Everyone at Warner Chappell is beyond honored that he has chosen us to represent his songs.”
“Writing songs has become one of the most fulfilling things in my life,” says Grimes. “To now be able to do it in Nashville with some of the greatest to ever do it is a beyond a dream come true. Warner Chappell has been incredibly helpful getting me started on this journey, and I’m honored to officially become a part of their family. Big thanks to Ben and Jessi [Vaughn Stevenson] and the rest of the team. It means the world.”
