Mediabase Reveals 2023 Year-End Chart Stats, Big Loud Lands In First Place
Mediabase has revealed its year end charts for 2023. Big Loud Records came out on top in country music with an 11.2% share, up from the third position and a 9.0% share in 2022.
The label also triumphed in the Most Played Artist field, winning the top spot with Morgan Wallen. Wallen dominated the country charts in 2023, racking up three of the top seven songs for the year.
Columbia jumped from fourth to second place this year, with a label share of 8.8%, and Broken Bow also had a strong showing, landing in the third spot with 7.8%. MCA moved from seventh place in 2022 to fourth in 2023, and the label’s chart share increased from 5.9% to 7.7%. Capitol posted another top 5 finish this year, with a 6.7% share.
Bailey Zimmerman’s “Rock And A Hard Place” was the most played song on the 2023 Year-End Country Chart.
The 2023 chart year is based on the time period from Nov. 6, 2022 through Nov. 4, 2023. All spins are tallied for the full 52 weeks and then converted into percentages for the chart share.
