Cody Johnson Earns Biggest Add Date Of Career With ‘The Painter’
Cody Johnson has the most-added song in the nation at country radio this week with his new song “The Painter,” as well as the biggest add date of his career with 73 stations adding it to rotation.
Written by Benjy Davis, Kat Higgins and Ryan Larkins and produced by Trent Willmon, the love song to his wife is the first single from Johnson’s new album that will be due out later this year. “The Painter” is the followup to Johnson’s double Platinum, Grammy-winning Country Song of The Year “’Til You Can’t,” which topped the charts at country radio for two weeks, as well as his Top 5 smash “Human,” both included on his Human: The Double Album.
Johnson is currently on tour with Luke Combs on his “World Tour” in New Zealand and Australia playing sold-out shows in Parnell, New Zealand and three shows in Brisbane, Australia last week. Up next are back-to-back shows in Sydney and Melbourne, as well as concerts in Adelaide and Perth where the tour will wrap on Aug. 26.
