Chapel Hart Announces ‘Glory Days’ Album, Out May 19
Chapel Hart has announced their upcoming album Glory Days, set to release May 19.
The trio–comprised of sisters Danica and Devynn Hart, and first cousin Trea Swindle—gained attention on America’s Got Talent, performing their track “You Can Have Him Jolene,” a spin on the Dolly Parton favorite. The late Loretta Lynn saw their audition and requested they pen a track inspired by her 1968 hit “Fist City.”
“‘Welcome to Fist City’ feels like 1968 revamped to right now,” shares Danica. “I really believe Ms. Loretta would’ve been so proud! I’d like to believe the generation who laid the foundation just wants to know that they are leaving country music in capable hands, and my prayer is that we are doing just that. I hope we are making them proud!”
The song will be featured alongside the previously-released title track on the new album, which will be the trio’s first full-length project since finishing in the Top 5 on AGT.
“I’ve never been more excited about delivering new music to our fans,” says Danica. “We’ve been through so much together and sharing the highs and lows of our ‘glory days’ through song has indeed been the joy of our lives!”
Chapel Hart made their Grand Ole Opry debut last year, and kicked off 2023 with their 60-date “Glory Days Tour.” They will take the stage this Sunday, April 2 as performers at this year’s CMT Music Awards.
