Brooke Lee has signed a worldwide publishing deal with Spirit Music Nashville/2 Mix Music.
Born in Charlotte and raised on Lake Norman, Lee started performing as a teen and was named Best Female Country Vocalist Queen City in 2020 and 2021. Upon turning 21, she packed her bags to chase her dreams and play gigs around the world. She released the single “Well Runs Dry” in 2022, written with Paul Ebersold and 2 Mix Music/Spirit Music Nashville writer Jessica Cayne, and has new music in the works being produced by Spirit’s own Derek Wells.
“I am beyond excited about Brooke Lee as an artist and a songwriter,” notes Kara Jackson, Senior Creative Director, Spirit Music Nashville. “Brooke is an energetic and dynamic performer with wild stories to tell and a smokey powerhouse vocal to back them up. We are excited to see Brooke hone her storytelling craft and release new music in 2023!”
“I could not be more excited to have Brooke join the 2Mix/Spirit Music family!” adds Wells, Vice President, A&R/Production, Spirit Music Nashville. “She’s just flat out an impressive person. Dynamic, talented and she brings her own unique vision to every part of her artistry. Her future in music is limitless and we are all thrilled to support her on that journey.”
“Since our first meeting, Spirit has been family to me,” shares Lee. “They have believed in my dream, my voice as a songwriter/artist, and me as a person. Their fire, drive, and passion is undeniable. I couldn’t be more excited and grateful to grow with them and see the magic we create.”
Over the past year, 70% of Spirit Music Nashville’s current writer roster has had at least one charted single, including nine No. 1s, ten top 10 singles, and 11 top 30 songs in 2021. The company also notched the ACM Single of the Year for Carly Pearce and Lee Brice’s “I Hope You’re Happy Now” (written by Jonathan Singleton) and Album of the Year for Chris Stapleton’s Starting Over.
Spirit also publishes MusicRow’s 2021 Song of the Year, “Hell of a View” bt Eric Church (written by Monty Criswell), received four CMA nominations (Single of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Musical Event of the Year) and took home six ASCAP Country awards.
