Goldenvoice’s Palomino Festival at Brookeside at the Rose Bowl included a boundary-pushing lineup featuring country, folk, pop, bluegrass, and more on Saturday (July 9) in Pasadena.

Kacey Musgraves, Willie Nelson & Family, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Zach Bryan and more gave southern California country fans a full day of non-stop performances at the festival. The day kicked off with Logan Ledger and ended under the stars with Kacey Musgraves featuring performances from Morgan Wade, Paul Cauthen, Orville Peck, Old Crow Medicine Show, Valerie June and more throughout.

In the middle of Kacey Musgraves’ set, she brought out Willie Nelson for a special performance of his song “On the Road Again,” thrilling the crowd, who clapped and sang along to the iconic hit. Musgraves’ grandfather was in the audience from Texas and she noted that it was a full-circle moment to have him there alongside her “other grandfather,” Nelson.

The festival also featured shopping at artist Nikki Lane’s Stagespot Marketplace, and delicacies from some of California’s top restaurants, including Maple Block Meat Co., Da Big Show BBQ, and Dave’s Hot Chicken.
