Gator Michaels Exits Reviver Entertainment To Launch Consulting Business
Gator Michaels has parted ways with Reviver Entertainment in order to launch Gator Michaels Consulting, a consulting service focused on independent labels and artists.
His first client is indie label 19th and Grand Records; artist Tenille Arts has also exited Reviver Records to work solely with 19th and Grand.
Michaels joined Reviver Entertainment in 2015 and was promoted to President of Reviver Records last year; he continued to serve as VP/GM of Reviver Entertainment Group in conjunction with serving as President of the company’s label arm.
“I am excited to offer my 30 years of experience in the music business, to help developing acts and labels to succeed in this ever changing landscape,” said Michaels. “I am also thrilled to announce that my first client is 19th and Grand Records. This will continue the relationship that I have developed with Tenille Arts over the last two years and I look forward to helping Tenille become the superstar that she is destined to be. Her current single, “Somebody Like That” continues to climb the charts at Country Radio and we are just getting started!”
After a decade-long radio career, Gator Michaels served as the GM for Young-Olsen & Associates and the Vice President of Promotion at Dreamcatcher Entertainment prior to joining Warner Bros. Nashville, where he earned the title of Senior Vice President. In 2010, Michaels went on to lead Davis Music Group as Executive Vice President/General Manager before founding his own promotions company, Instigator Entertainment, in 2011. He then became Vice President of Blaster Records in 2012, before later joining Reviver Entertainment.
