ASCAP Hosts Big Lineup For Sundance Music Cafe Kickoff

ASCAP’s Music Cafe at Sundance 2017 kicked off in a big way Friday night (Jan. 20) with performances throughout the weekend by SadGirl, Josh Kelley, actress Nakhane Touré, (the star of this year’s Sundance film The Wound), Southern Avenue, Rooney, R.LUM.R, Andy Shauf, and Nashville star Clare Bowen. Film composers with music in films at this year’s festival visited the Café to mix and meet with performers as well at the event, including Bear McCreary, who scored this year’s Sundance films Colossal, Unrest and Rebel in the Rye, and Will and Brooke Blair, who scored I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore.

The 19th annual event is a core program of the renowned film festival and launched ASCAP’s eight days of live performances. A complete schedule of performances and samples of the music of Café artists can be found at ascap.com/sundance.
