AIMP Discusses Catalog Valuations In 2016

The Association of Independent Music Publishers welcomed Phil May (Warner/Chappell Music), Scott Parker (Hearts Bluff Music), Brad Peterson (Regions Bank), Kevin Rea (FTI Consulting), and Steven White (Janover LLC) who spoke at the AIMP “Catalog Valuations in 2016” panel on November 9 at the First Amendment Center.

Moderated by Michael Sukin (Sukin Law Group/Cowan Leibowitz and Latman), the panelists discussed various aspects of music publishing catalog valuations and purchases, using example scenarios and answering audience questions.

 

615 Revival Supports St. Jude

img_2380The Tin Roof on Demonbreun will host the 615 Revival Tuesday night (11/15) at 7 p.m. The songwriters round is taking donations at the door for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Among the writers performing are Leslie Satcher, Wyatt Durrette, Erin Enderlin, Lance Miller, Jeremy Parsons, and Tara Thompson.

WordCountry Publishing’s Steven Dale Jones’s 30-year songwriting career was celebrated Tuesday night (11/8) at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville. The evening featured eight performances throughout the night including Marty Raybon & Mike McQuire of Shenandoah playing “Wooden Cross” and Diamond Rio playing the Grammy-nominated “One More Day,” which was a career song for Jones. Other performers during the evening included Brice Long, Kelleigh Bannen, Ashley Gearing, Justin Ebach, Jason Blaine, and Hannah Ellis.
