lynn anderson11Lynn Anderson was arrested on a DUI charge in Nashville Friday morning (Sept. 12). Anderson, who won the Grammy award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance in 1970, was arrested just after 1 a.m., after a traffic accident on West End Avenue. Anderson admitted to drinking alcohol and taking prescription medication before the accident, which happened near 31st Avenue around 9 p.m. She was released from jail on a $5,000 bond around 4 a.m. Friday morning.
Lynn issued the following statement Friday morning: “I apologize for the choices I made and subsequent actions on Thursday evening that ultimately resulted in the accident. By the grace of God, I am very grateful that no one was injured as a result. I am committed to the accountable steps that I will be facing on the road to recovery and am deeply sorry for anyone that I have harmed along this path.”

mlambert70811Miranda Lambert‘s MuttNation Foundation will soon open a private, no kill shelter. Redemption Ranch sits on five acres in Tishomingo, Okla.,  and will serve animals in crisis.
Redemption Ranch is slated to open in October, and incorporates Miranda’s style into the design touches, including a pink entrance, pink animal cells and rocking chairs on porches.
