Bandsintown Reaches 10 Million Registered Users
Concert listing site Bandsintown has revealed that their number of registered concertgoers has reached 10 million– enough seats to sell out Madison Square Garden over 500 times, according to their site.
The San Diego-based company was founded in 2007. Bandsintown made its concert API (which is used by Shazam, eMusic, SoundHound, and other services) public in 2009.
Bandsintown claims 40 million unique monthly views. The company signed a deal with Sony Music Unlimited, which allows Bandsintown users to preview music by Sony artists who have concerts listed on the Bandsintown app.
