Warner Music Nashville Promotes Williams To Sr. VP, Finance

June 28, 2013/by Jessica Nicholson

wmnWarner Music Nashville (WMN) has promoted Ken Williams to Sr. VP, Finance, WMN. In this position, Williams will oversee all financial operations for Warner Music Group’s country and Christian divisions, which include Atlantic, Elektra, Warner Bros., LoudMouth, and Word Entertainment. Williams also serves as a key member of the WMN executive team, advising on general business strategy, and will continue to oversee the companies’ accounting, operations and financial planning divisions. Ken previously served as VP, Finance, and will continue to report to John Esposito, President and CEO, WMN.
“Ken is a brilliant and essential part of our family,” said Esposito. “Having spent the better part of two decades with Warner Music Nashville, he has a deep understanding of our company and the industry. Ken’s promotion is well-deserved and I’m very happy to report this great news.”
“I consider myself extremely fortunate to have worked with so many talented staff members over the years,” said Williams. “The culture and energy at WMN and Word are incomparable, and are a direct result of the tremendous efforts of both John Esposito and Rod Riley. It’s truly an honor to work alongside these two talented leaders.”
Williams is a 15-year veteran of the Christian music industry. His career began in 1998 when Williams worked in the credit services division of Word Entertainment. He held various positions before being appointed Vice President, Finance, for WMN in 2010. Williams is an active member of the Franklin, Tenn., community, and has mentored students of Pearl Cohn Entertainment Magnet School as part of the school’s partnership with WMN. Williams earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from Tennessee Technological University and his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Belmont University.
