Garth Brooks welcomes Carrie Underwood as a Grand Ole Opry member.
Carrie Underwood will celebrate five years as a member of the Grand Ole Opry on Friday, June 7. The evening will feature a special closing segment. Underwood was inducted as an Opry member by fellow Opry member and Oklahoman Garth Brooks in May 2008.
“Throughout the past five years, Carrie Underwood has become both a certified country music superstar and a beloved member of the Opry family,” said Pete Fisher, Grand Ole Opry vice president and general manager. “It’s been exciting to see Carrie experience career success after success, all the while returning often to the Opry stage to thrill audiences here.”
Show tickets are available now. Additionally, the Opry will make special ticket packages available beginning Monday (May 6). The package includes “fan zone” tickets to the performance as well as an exclusive Carrie 5-year anniversary T-shirt. Ticket and package information is available at 800-SEE-OPRY and opry.com.
