Dwight Yoakam Sells Out Ryman In 30 Minutes, Adds Show
Dwight Yoakam still enjoys a strong fanbase in Nashville. The singer-songwriter’s concert at the Ryman Auditorium on April 12 sold out in less than 30 minutes after tickets went on sale on Feb. 8, prompting the venue and Yoakam’s management to add a second date at the Ryman Auditorium for April 13. Tickets for the additional show go on sale Friday (Feb. 15).
This marks Yoakam’s return to the Mother Church of Country Music’s sacred stage for the first time since 2005. “The Ryman is one of a handful of places in the world, that from the moment you step inside, you can feel that you have entered a hallowed chamber occupied by the essence of the great,” said Yoakam, who is currently touring in support of his latest album, 3 Pears. The Lone Bellow is set to open.
