Dunn Signs on For Canadian Award Show
The Canadian Country Music Awards will air Sept. 12 on Canada’s CBC TV network. The prestigious awards cap the CCMA’s annual Country Music Week festivities slated this year to emanates from Hamilton, Ontario Sept. 9-12.
Performers announced for the upcoming show include Canadian artists George Canyon, Terri Clark, Doc Walker and Emerson Drive plus international superstar Ronnie Dunn. Final nominees will be announced July 27.
“Always love when Canada shows up on the itinerary,” says Dunn. “This trip in for the Canadian Country Music Awards is even better, I get to sing with my friends.”
The CCMA Awards will be televised live from the Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, produced by Corkscrew Media and broadcast live on CBC with encore airings on CMT Canada. This year marks the first in fifteen that the four-day Country Music Week conference has been hosted by the City of Hamilton.
The CCMA was established in 1976 to ensure the growth of Canadian country music. The Awards were created in 1982 to celebrate the music and artists that represent Canada’s unique musical culture. For more info visit www.ccma.org
