Warren Zeiders Puts The Pedal To The Metal On New LP ‘No Brakes,’ Due In September

Warren Zeiders will release his new album No Brakes on Sept. 25 via Warner Records. He’s giving fans another taste of the upcoming new project with the release of the title track, out today (July 17).

Written by Zeiders, Beau Bailey, Jenna Johnson, VWillz and Jeff Garrison, “No Brakes” blends gospel harmonies and steel guitar licks, speaking to a relationship that’s destined for a tumultuous fate, but still committing with “no brakes.” The title track is the third preview single off of the new album, with previous tracks including “Days of My Life,” a starry-eyed single on finding the person who turns ordinary days into the best days of your life, and “Drinking Game,” detailing a rollercoaster of emotions from on-and-off love, having already been released.

Crafted primarily in a two-day session, No Brakes shapes Zeiders’ under-the-hood perspective on love and loss into a 12-track diary entry. An adrenaline junkie at his core, Zeiders compares his knack for adventure and appreciation of car racing to his full-steam-ahead outlook on life.

“Life is inevitable,” says Zeiders. “Good things, bad things, it’s all coming at you – and you have to power on. There’s not really a choice, but why would you want one? That’s why the idea, all gas, no brakes really seemed like the right name for this album.”

No Brakes is Zeiders’ third studio album, and features 12 songs that grapple with love, wreckage, betrayal and keeping the faith, all while chasing a dream that moves at the speed of sound. The tracks showcase the truth of coming-of-age in the 2020s, and he tapped a team of producers to shape the new collection, including Evan Blair, Ben Johnson, Gabe Simon, Garrison and KK Johnson, as well as long-time creative partners Ross Copperman and Justin Ebach.

At just 27, Zeiders has amassed more than 4.2 billion global career streams, 2 billion TikTok views, and 6.4M million monthly listeners on Spotify. He is currently on his first-ever world tour, playing performances across the U.S., Europe and Australia.

Artist Legacy Group has revealed it will represent the Estate of Raul Malo, singer-songwriter and founding frontman of the Grammy-winning group The Mavericks.

ALG will oversee the estate’s intellectual property rights, business interests and archival assets, and secure opportunities for media projects, brand partnerships and consumer products that celebrate his life, music and enduring influence, ensuring that Malo’s artistry continues to connect with longtime fans and future generations.

“We are so grateful to the Malo Family for allowing us to be part of this next chapter,” says ALG Founder and CEO Ashley Austin. “Raul had that once-in-a-generation voice, but what made him truly extraordinary was his ability to bridge styles, cultures, and generations. Our role is to protect that legacy while developing authentic, enduring ways to keep his music in conversation with the world.”

Betty Malo, Executrix of the Estate of Raul Malo adds, “When an artist leaves behind a lifetime of music, creativity, and influence, preserving that legacy becomes more than a personal responsibility – it becomes a duty. That’s why I engaged Ashley Austin as our estate manager: to professionally protect Raul’s intellectual property, oversee opportunities that honor his wishes, and ensure that every decision reflects the extraordinary artist and man he was.”

As the driving force behind The Mavericks, Malo helped redefine Americana music with songs including “Dance the Night Away,” “All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down,” and “Here Comes My Baby.” Throughout his career, he earned critical acclaim for both his songwriting and musicianship, leaving behind a catalog that continues to resonate with audiences around the world.

Gavin Adcock Readies New Album For October

Gavin Adcock will release his new studio album, The Day I Hang It Up, on Oct. 2nd via Thrivin Here Records LLC under exclusive license to Warner Records Nashville.

The new project marks his third album in three years, following last year’s 24-track Own Worst Enemy, which boasted over 25 million U.S. streams in its first week. His most recent full-length project, Country Never Dies, released in March, brought together Hudson Westbrook, Ashley Cooke, Braxton Keith, Lanie Gardner, Vincent Mason and more for collaborations on some of country music’s most iconic hits.

“The last 5 years have been the wildest time of my life,” says Adcock. “I’ve been through nearly everything a person could imagine, writing songs and living on a damn tour bus. Through all of that I’ve stood up to my darkest demons, laughed in the face of adversity and kept the pedal down letting out music for my fans. Some artists come in, make a couple records, and disappear for the rest of their life. For me? Imma be doing this shit ‘til the day I die. I wanna thank every single one of y’all for rockin’ with me on this wild ride.”

Named a Pandora 2026 “Country Artist to Watch,” Adcock’s releases thus far have surpassed 2.4 billion streams globally. He is currently amidst his headlining “The Day I Hang It Up Tour.”

Brad Paisley Unveils ‘Tacklebox -Disc 1’

Brad Paisley has released his Tacklebox – Disc 1 project today via MCA.

The 13-track project includes songs from his catalog of unreleased and unrecorded songs dating back to the 90s as well as recently written tracks. Sonically, the album was shaped by the 90s sound of Alan Jackson, Brooks and Dunn and Alabama, as well as 80s-influenced productions reminiscent of those of George Strait, Garth Brooks and others.

“In this digital age, I have every song I’ve ever written at my fingertips,” Paisley says. “There was such freedom in rediscovering the songs for Tacklebox, the new ones we wrote, and the order we released them. They came from or were written about a nostalgic time period, a style of writing, and a sound. We wanted to give listeners that special feeling of playing a vinyl album or CD all the way through, if you listened to it top to bottom.”

The “Brad Paisley Live” Tour will launch on Aug. 27 with special guests Jake Worthington, Charles Worsham, Hannah Harper, Laci Kaye Booth, The Band Loula and Mackenzie Carpenter.

Wyatt McCubbin has inked with Dave Cobb‘s Lucille Records.

Originally from a four-way-stop town in Ohio, McCubbin has spent the last 16 years honing his craft and writing nearly 2,000 songs. He has three songs currently climbing the country radio charts including Riley Green’s “Think As You Drunk,” Cody Johnson’s “Horseback” and Jon Pardi’s “Boots Off.” Next month, McCubbin will support Zach Top on his “Cold Beer & Country Music Tour,” making stops in Ottawa, San Diego, Anaheim, San Antonio and more.

“Working with Dave Cobb has been the most inspiring chapter of my journey creatively,” he shares. “He knows how to put a microphone on the heart of an artist and capture more than just a voice. Dave is a country song’s best friend.”

“I’ve always believed it all starts with a song. I loved Wyatt because he truly follows in the legacy of great songwriter-artists like Don Williams and Kris Kristofferson,” Cobb says.

Alongside the announcement, he released his new single “Andy Griffith,” which was produced by Cobb and co-written by McCubbin alongside Rhett Akins, Ben Hayslip and Conner Smith.

“‘Andy Griffith’ is a reminder that simple is not lost and it shows us that we do not have to go back in time to feel like we went back in time. This song is everything I want my life to be,” adds McCubbin.

Megan Moroney Releases Debut Fragrance

Megan Moroney has released her debut fragrance, Calliope, created in partnership with Scent Beauty, Inc. Calliope will debut on FragrancebyMeganMoroney.com and Scentbeauty.com as well as select national retail partners starting July 15. It will launch in-store in the US on Aug. 15 at retailers including Walmart, JCPenney, CVS, Urban Outfitters and more.

“I’ve spent the last year and a half hand crafting Calliope, my debut fragrance. The heart-shaped bottle felt very me, of course. But beyond the heart, it’s inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi—the centuries-old practice of repairing broken pottery with gold or silver, embracing its’ cracks rather than hiding them. It’s a reminder that our imperfections and experiences become part of what makes us unique. For me, my songs are sometimes the most broken pieces reshaped into something that I’ve seen heal me and so many of you. The fragrance itself is fresh, effortless, and meant to be an everyday signature. On the back of the bottle, I added the handwritten lyrics ‘You Shine’ because I truly believe the world can be hard on beautiful things. The most beautiful things come from broken pieces, and I hope this fragrance serves as a reminder that your light shines even brighter because of everything you’ve been through.” shares Moroney.

Belmont University’s Center For Mental Health In Entertainment Hosts Inaugural Leadership Cohort For Industry Changemakers

The Center for Mental Health in Entertainment at Belmont University hosted The Collective: A Leadership Cohort Workshop for Industry Changemakers on July 13 in Nashville, in partnership with the Country Music Association (CMA).

The half-day workshop brought together leaders from organizations that each serve a different piece of the entertainment mental health landscape, including MusiCares, Music Health Alliance, Porter’s Call, Sweet Relief, ACM Lifting Lives, ECCHO Live, Amber Health and Backline.

The workshop, themed “Beyond Awareness: Building a Stronger Support Ecosystem for Entertainment,” centered on the question, “what does a healthy entertainment industry actually look like?” Much of the conversation focused on collaboration, specifically how organizations doing similar work can support each other rather than duplicate it.

“Our goal was to create space for connection among those doing this important work, while also exploring ways we can collectively strengthen support systems across the industry,” says Debbie Carroll, LCSW, CMA endowed chair and executive director of the Center for Mental Health in Entertainment. “So much of our work is about convening, bringing people and organizations together in the same place. This work is big enough for all of us, and when we work together, our impact multiplies. We can reach further together than any of us can alone.”

The Nashville Symphony has tapped J. Mark Cantrell as the next President & Chief Executive Officer. Cantrell will assume the role on Aug. 1 succeeding Alan D. Valentine.

Cantrell most recently served as President & CEO of the Colorado Symphony, where he strengthened the organization’s financial position, negotiated successful collective bargaining agreements, and helped secure a $90 million city bond commitment for the future renovation of Boettcher Concert Hall through partnerships with civic leaders. Previously, he served as President & CEO of The Florida Orchestra, CEO of the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra and Executive Director of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra. Before moving into executive leadership, Cantrell enjoyed a distinguished 20-year career as a bass trombonist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops, Boston Ballet and Boston Lyric Opera.

“This is an exciting day for the Nashville Symphony,” says Mary Cavarra, Chair of the Nashville Symphony Board of Directors. “The Board was looking for a leader who could build on the Symphony’s extraordinary legacy while guiding us into our next chapter. We found that leader in Mark Cantrell. He brings the experience, integrity, and vision to strengthen this organization, support our musicians and staff, and deepen our connection with the community we serve.”

“Mark distinguished himself through his record of financial leadership, fundraising success, and thoughtful, collaborative approach,” adds Teresa M. Sebastian, Chair of the Board’s CEO Search Committee. “He is an accomplished musician who understands orchestral life from the stage as well as the executive office. That combination gives him a unique perspective, and we’re confident he is the right leader to guide the Nashville Symphony into its next era.”

“This orchestra has earned an extraordinary reputation for artistic excellence, innovation, and service throughout Middle Tennessee,” Cantrell says. “I look forward to getting to know this community, working alongside Music Director Leonard Slatkin, our exceptional musicians and staff, the Board of Directors, and the many supporters whose passion has made the Symphony such an important part of Nashville’s cultural life. I’m excited to build on that foundation together.”
