MuttNation & Tractor Supply Co. Announce Third Annual ‘Relief For Rescues’ Fundraiser
/by Lorie HollabaughAnimals at Southern California shelters impacted by the ongoing wildfires
Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation and Tractor Supply Company have announced their third annual “Relief for Rescues” fundraiser, which provides financial support for shelter animals impacted by disasters such as floods, fires, hurricanes and tornadoes.
From Jan. 12–22, customers can donate to the “Relief for Rescues” Fund during checkout at any Tractor Supply location, online at TractorSupply.com or via the Tractor Supply mobile app. Launched in 2023, the fund has raised more than one million dollars and already allocated over $600,000 to support shelter animals impacted by natural disasters.
The fund is actively supporting the Southern California region impacted by ongoing wildfires, and recently deployed $250,000 to provide critical assistance to 31 animal shelters and organizations across multiple states in the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The money distributed helped animal rescues access more efficient emergency response and provided food, supplies, veterinary care, transport services for displaced pets and assistance with shelter repair.
“Our ‘Relief for Rescues’ Fund allows MuttNation to help shelters when they need us the most,” says Lambert. “It’s been heartbreaking to see the devastation in California unfold, and we’re grateful that our fund and the generosity of our donors has allowed us to respond quickly. 100% of your support goes directly to those impacted by disasters.”
“At Tractor Supply, we’re passionate about animals and dedicated to supporting them however we can,” adds Kimberley Gardiner, Chief Marketing Officer, Tractor Supply Company. “Natural disasters often leave more pets without homes and put extra pressure on shelters. That’s where the ‘Relief for Rescues’ Fund comes in—it allows us to quickly provide financial support and help ease that strain. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished so far with Miranda, MuttNation, our amazing team members and our customers. This year, we’re excited to keep that momentum going and make an even bigger impact together.”
Kameron Marlowe To Release ‘Songs For The Soul’ Project In February
/by LB CantrellPowerful vocalist and songwriter Kameron Marlowe will put the emotions of heartbreak on display with Sad Songs For The Soul, a new 10-track project releasing Feb. 21.
Produced by Ben West, Sad Songs For The Soul follows his sophomore album Keepin’ The Lights On that he released in May of 2024.
“I’ve had these songs for a while now, but I was never sure if I wanted to actually release them all. I kept coming back to the idea of doing a concept record of only sad songs but was honestly nervous that it might be too different from what fans are used to hearing from me,” Marlowe shares. “I wanted to push the boundaries a little and put out an unexpected, soulful, stripped project full of heartbreak at all stages in life. Ben West produced the project and I cannot be more thrilled on how it turned out. You can really feel the pain behind each song and I hope fans enjoy this new side. Excited to get more music out in 2025!”
Marlowe is giving fans a taste of the new LP with track “Hello Whiskey” today (Jan. 10).
“I wrote ‘Hello Whiskey’ with Kendell Marvel and Phil O’Donnell. We wanted to write a classic heartbreak song that talks about what it feels like when you’re trying your hardest to move on, but you truly cannot get over someone. The melody is a little unexpected but I think that’s what makes this song special.”
In addition to this new music, Marlowe will also join as support for Parker McCollum’s “What Kinda Man Tour 2025” which will kick off in Athens, Georgia on Jan. 23 and run through April. He will also hit the road in March for his 2025 “Keepin’ The Lights On Tour,” beginning in Charles Town, West Virginia on March 7.

Zach John King Signs With Sony Music Nashville

Rising singer-songwriter Zach John King has signed a record deal with Sony Music Nashville.
A Fayetteville, Georgia native, King fronted an indie-rock band through college before moving to Nashville in 2021. He released his first solo track introducing his country-meets-rock sound, “Just Missed You,” in 2023. He turned heads with other independent tracks including his 2024 breakout single “Wannabe Cowboy” and follow up “Hole In The Wall,” leading him to 3.4 million streams worldwide and placements on high-profile playlists like Spotify’s New Boots, Fresh Country and Next From Nashville.
“I’m so dang grateful to be with such a stellar team,” shares King. “They’ve been there since day one and have been behind some of my favorite artists of all time. I’m proud to have a home team here in Nashville. I’m ready to get to work.”
King released a new track today titled “Slow Down,” which he wrote with Thomas Archer, Kyle Fishman and Michael Tyler. Produced by Ryan Wilson, the song tells the story of a narrator reflecting on a failed relationship, haunted by the memory of his ex.
“I wrote ‘Slow Down’ with Thomas Archer, Kyle Fishman and Michael Tyler. We wanted to capture the feeling of seeing someone you loved move on quickly and the pain of not being able to get them off your mind. It’s a story that I think a lot of people can relate to—that classic small-town experience where, after a breakup, there’s no escaping the memories. In a town that small, they follow you around everywhere, no matter where you go,” King shares.
“I love the vibe and the beat behind this song. It’s also a chance for my fans to hear something musically different from what I’ve released in the past, with more variety and depth to my sound. Writing songs that people can connect with is one of my favorite things to do, and I think most people have been through something like this at some point.”
Stephen Wilson Jr. Releases ‘Søn Of Dad (Deluxe)’
/by Liza AndersonStephen Wilson Jr. has released a deluxe edition of his debut double album, Søn Of Dad, via Big Loud Records.
The collection features two new tracks taken from his “Live at the Print Shop” performance, the dedication to his late father “I’m A Song” and a reinterpretation of Ben E. King‘s “Stand By Me.”
“A song can be a bookmark in a 10 million+ page book that can take you right to the very paragraph and page. A story is what a song is, and our species lives for stories,” Wilson Jr. says. “‘I’m A Song’ was the song that made it all make sense for me. A cache I found along the trail that gave form to what I was chasing. My father’s favorite song, he told me. A song I couldn’t play for a while but one that came back to me when it was time. Time is the thread that is stamped along the way as our chosen path is woven for the length it is given. A path I chose because my father was a song, and it demands to be sung.”
The new version also includes 10 acoustic renditions of tunes like “Cuckoo,” “Year To Be Young 1994,” “Father’s Søn,” “Grief is Only Love” and more.
“In an attempt to continue the conversation after the release of Søn Of Dad, we’ve been traveling all over the world playing these songs and watching them evolve with a few new welcome additions to the story,” he continues. “Playing them stripped down and in full band settings. Each performance is an opportunity to learn something new about the song.”
The deluxe album arrives as Søn Of Dad enters its seventh consecutive week in the top 10 on the iTunes Country Albums chart, where it has reached No. 1 multiple times. Wilson Jr. plans to take these tracks on the road for his extended “Søn Of Dad Tour” next month.
Additionally, a four-disc deluxe edition vinyl is now available preorder. For more information, click here.
