Dylan Scott Slates New Album ‘Easy Does It’ For May
/by Lorie HollabaughDylan Scott is prepping his third studio album Easy Does It, for release May 30 via Curb Records.
The 11-track collection features Scott’s most recent releases as well as six new songs reflecting on heartbreak, committed love, and nods to the small town that raised him. In celebration of the new album, Scott has released the new single “I Hate Whiskey.”
Written by Taylor Phillips, Michael Ray, Jon Kraft and Jaxson Free, “I Hate Whiskey” pours a shot of regret of love lost and serves as Scott’s most recent sneak peek into the upcoming new project, following previous releases like “I Owe You One,” “You’d Think I Was A Cowboy” and “What He’ll Never Have,” the latter of which has already surpassed 285 million global streams. But now, having kids and being married has allowed me to see what I have right in front of me and embrace it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still working hard. But I am more comfortable with myself and my career than ever before, which has made life so much easier.”
Scott is nearing the top of the charts for the second time this year with “This Town’s Been Too Good To Us.” which is at No. 4 at country radio, and is heading out on his headlining “Country Till I Die Tour” beginning April 3 in Boston.

The Band Light Makes Debut Release Via Red Van Records
/by LB CantrellRising pop-rock group The Band Light kicks off a new chapter with “All I Need,” their debut single out now via Red Van Records. The track marks their first release since signing with Red Van Records, Jonas Publishing Group, and Jonas Group Entertainment in late 2024—offering the first glimpse of a larger project set to arrive later this year.
Produced by multi-platinum writer, producer and mixer John Fields—known for his work with Switchfoot, Jonas Brothers, Jimmy Eat World and Demi Lovato—”All I Need” fuses timeless rock influences with fresh, modern energy.
Formed in Spring Hill, Tennessee, The Band Light—Konnor Dolberry (lead vocals), Jack Glenn (bass/vocals), Garrett Goodrich (lead guitar/vocals) and Trevor Young (drums/vocals)—came together through a high school music production class, quickly finding chemistry both on and off stage. Since then, they’ve racked up over a million streams on their independently released music and spent early 2024 on the road, opening for breakout acts Quarters of Change and New Hope Club.
Written backstage during a high school theater production by Young, “All I Need” channels the tension and introspection of growing up in a hyperconnected world, offering a personal yet universally relatable take on the relationship between youth and technology.
“Excited, determined, and grateful don’t begin to describe how I feel about this release,” says Young. “There’s a magic in this song that’s connected with our fans from day one. ‘All I Need’ was born out of a moment of real emotion and change, and we hope listeners feel that too. It represents a new chapter for us.”

2 Lane Summer Release Debut EP ‘The Love Songs’
/by Lorie HollabaughThe debut EP from country-pop duo 2 Lane Summer, The Love Songs, released today (March 28) via Quartz Hill Records.
2 Lane Summer’s Joe Hanson and Chris Ray co-wrote all four tracks on The Love Songs, two of which are new stripped-back “wedding” versions of some of the duo’s previously released tracks. The EP’s focus track, “Til the Day That I Die (Wedding Version),” is a vow of eternal romantic love, reminiscent of a timeless wedding song.
“It’s another flavor of the same song that might be more palatable in more of an intimate setting, like at a wedding, or if a couple is doing a slow dance,” explains Hanson. “The main reason we wanted to put these ballads on our debut EP is we believe in the songs so much. They’ve gotten so much steam and traction on social media already, and I just think there’s a lot left in the tank for these songs that the world needs to hear.”
Throughout their career the two have amassed a fast-growing fan base of more than 380,000 social media followers.
The Love Songs Track List:
1. “Til the Day That I Die (Wedding Version)” (Ash Bowers, Chris Ray, Joe Hanson, Mike Mobley)
2. “God Made You” (Ash Bowers, Chris Ray, Joe Hanson, Mike Mobley)
3. “First Dancin’” (Chris Ray, Joe Hanson, Keesy Timmer)
4. “Eyes That Ain’t Yours (Wedding Version)” (Dustin James, John Marlin, Chris Ray, Joe Hanson)
