Spirit Music has elevated Frank Rogers to CEO.

As an executive, Rogers is the former VP of EMI Nashville Productions where he signed artists including Brad Paisley and Darryl Worley. In 1999, Rogers opened up Sea Gayle Music with Paisley and Chris DuBois where he signed artists including Chris Stapleton and Ingrid Andress.

In 2016, he opened Fluid Music Revolution and in 2019 he was named the CEO of Spirit Music Nashville. In 2022, Rogers was named Chief Creative Officer for Spirit Music. In his expanded role as Chief Executive Officer for Spirit Music, he will continue to define the strategic direction to maximize growth, overseeing all aspects of Spirit Music’s global roster and creative and operational activities, while continuing to serve as President of Fluid Music Revolution.

He has amassed 18 CMA award nominations with one win, and 27 ACM award nominations with five wins. He was awarded MusicRow’s Producer of the Year four times, and Billboard‘s No. 1 Hot Country Producer honor five times.

Spotify Unveils Reserved Ticket Program

Spotify has introduced a new program that will reserve select concert tickets for top artist streamers.

The new program for eligible Spotify Premium subscribers ages 18+ will start in the U.S., with more markets to follow. The program will identify an artist’s top fans and hold two tour tickets for them, available to purchase before tickets are on sale to the general public.

Top fans will be chosen through streams, shares, and other Spotify activity. Spotify will also monitor the activity of Premium users to ensure they are not bots. Availability will vary by artist, tour and location. Those eligible for tickets will receive an email and an in-app notification with information on how to purchase.

Ella Langley, Morgan Wallen, Sam Barber Among 2026 AMA Winners

Ella Langley, Morgan Wallen, Sam Barber, Zac Brown Band and Megan Moroney took home wins at last night’s (May 25) American Music Awards, which aired from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Langley took home Best Female Country Artist and Best Country Song for “Choosin’ Texas.” Wallen nabbed Best Male Country Artist. Zac Brown Band earned Best Country Duo or Group. Moroney took home Best Country Album for her recent release, Cloud 9.

Queen Latifah returned to host the awards. BTS took home the top prize of the night, Artist of the Year. Sombr took home Breakthrough Rock/Alternative Artist, Best Rock/Alternative Song for “back to friends” and Best Rock/Alternative Album for I Barely Know Her.

IBMA Welcomes Four New Board Members

The International Bluegrass Music Association has welcomed four new members to its Board of Directors: Amanda Cook, Kristy Cox, Austin Scelzo and Gary Upton. 

Representing Artists, Composers and Music Publishers, Cook is an artist, producer and music executive whose career bridges both stage and studio. She founded The Amanda Cook Band in 2014, which continues to tour full time. In 2019, Cook joined Mountain Fever Records as a sound engineer and producer, and was named Chief Operating Officer in 2022, helping shape the label’s creative direction, expand its roster and strengthen its release strategy. In August 2025, she became the label’s owner.

At Large Board Member Cox has emerged as a leading voice in both the Australian and American bluegrass scenes. She began her career in Australia before rising to prominence in the U.S. with multiple Billboard-topping releases. Her latest album, Let It Burn, blends traditional bluegrass with gospel influences and earned a No. 1 spot on the Billboard Bluegrass chart. A longtime collaborator with songwriter and producer Jerry Salley, Cox has received six CMAA Golden Guitar Awards for Bluegrass Recording of the Year, including a 2023 win for “Good Morning Moon.”

Representing Associations, Scelzo is a performer, educator, and advocate who founded the Connecticut Bluegrass Association and performs with the Rock Hearts Band and On the Trail. He serves as Program Director of Bluegrass and Old-Time Music at The Granite community arts venue in Connecticut. A graduate of the 2023 Leadership Bluegrass program, he was named a “Connecticut Arts Hero” for his contributions to music and community advocacy. He also received the 2025 IBMA Momentum Industry Involvement award.  A former public school orchestra teacher, Scelzo continues to teach at camps and youth programs and also works with the IBMA Foundation as a clinician and shares educational resources on his website, blog, YouTube Channel, and singbluegrassharmony.com.

Merchandisers & Luthiers Board Member Upton is the founder of the Upton Bass String Instrument Company, a leading American maker of double basses known for blending traditional craftsmanship with modern performance needs. An active New England bluegrass bassist, Upton performs with Beyond Dixon and throughout the regional acoustic music scene, bringing a working musician’s perspective to instrument design, tone development, and artist support. He has also contributed to the arts through leadership and advisory roles in nonprofit and educational settings, including the International Society of Bassists and regional symphony boards.

The new board members will begin their terms in June 2026.

Sela Campbell Signs With Leo33, CAA & Warner Chappell Music

Sela Campbell has inked with Leo33, CAA and Warner Chappell Music.

The 19-year-old Virginia native recently released her debut single, “Diamond In Your Pocket.” Inspired by the sounds of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Miranda Lambert, Campbell has shared stages with 49 Winchester, Kashus Culpepper and Carly Pearce. She is slated to release more music this summer.

“I’m beyond thrilled to begin this next chapter alongside Leo33, CAA, and Warner Chappell Publishing,” shares Campbell. “I’m incredibly grateful to have such an amazing team around me who believes in me. I’m so excited for everything we’re building together.”

Haily Harris Joins Combustion Music As Creative Manager

Haily Harris has joined Combustion Music as Creative Manager.

Harris attended Belmont University in the Music Business program and was hired as Creative Manager of Wrensong Entertainment following her graduation in December 2024. In her first year at Wrensong, she landed a cut on Emily Ann Roberts with “Come Home To You.” Harris also took on the role of Creative Consultant at Jody Williams Songs in 2025 while continuing her role at Wrensong. During that same period, she also served as the Award Show Coordinator for the Association of Independent Music Publishers.

“Haily is wise beyond her years, and I am certain she will prove to be a true difference maker in the coming years….Couldn’t be happier to have her on board,” says Combustion Music President Chris Farren.

SiriusXM Unveils CMA Fest Music Row Happy Hour Lineup [Exclusive]

SiriusXM is returning for its annual SiriusXM The Highway’s Music Row Happy Hour during CMA Fest (June 4-7). This year’s event will take place at Chief’s on Broadway.

The 2026 lineup includes performances and interviews from Ashley Cooke, Avery Anna, Blake Shelton, Brandon Lake, Carter Faith, Cody Johnson, ERNEST, Jon Pardi, Keith Urban, Koe Wetzel, Russell Dickerson, Shaboozey, Stella Lefty, The Band Perry, Warren Zeiders and more. The Highway’s Buzz Brainard, Cody Alan, Macie Banks and Ania Hammar will serve as hosts.

The event will also be broadcasted live on The Highway (Ch. 56) from 12 p.m- 7 p.m. CT.

Matt Stell Signs With Black River Entertainment

Matt Stell has signed Black River Entertainment.

“I knew I wanted to sign with Black River Entertainment from the first time we all met,” shares Stell. “I’ve been blown away by their culture, character and support from the get-go. I think we were sold on each other very quickly, which is why this deal happened at warp speed. It’s already a great fit and I’m so excited about what the future has in store for all of us.”

The Arkansas native has amassed over 1.1 billion global streams and earned two chart-toppers at country radio with the double-Platinum hit “Prayed For You” and Platinum certified “Everywhere But On.” Stell will release “Better Angels” with Ne-Yo this Friday (May 29), his first track on the label.

The latest edition of The MusicRow Weekly arrives with a packed slate of headline-making moments across country music, from major award wins and executive moves to landmark announcements shaping Nashville’s future. Click here to see the full edition.

The 61st Academy of Country Music Awards lit up the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday night (May 17), with global superstar Shania Twain serving as host for one of the genre’s biggest evenings. Cody Johnson emerged as one of the night’s biggest winners, taking home both Entertainer of the Year and Male Artist of the Year honors. Parker McCollum earned Album of the Year for his self-titled project, while Ella Langley dominated the evening with four trophy wins, including Female Artist of the Year, Song and Single of the Year for her breakout smash “Choosin’ Texas,” and Musical Event of the Year alongside Riley Green for “Don’t Mind If I Do.” Prior to the telecast, Langley also secured Artist-Songwriter of the Year honors.

Additional ACM victories reflected both the genre’s legacy acts and rising stars. The Red Clay Strays earned Group of the Year, while legendary duo Brooks & Dunn added yet another Duo of the Year win to their celebrated career. Emerging artists were also recognized ahead of the broadcast, with Avery Anna named New Female Artist of the Year and Tucker Wetmore receiving New Male Artist of the Year. Stephen Wilson Jr. picked up Visual Media of the Year for “Cuckoo,” while acclaimed songwriter Jessie Jo Dillon made history with her Songwriter of the Year win.

Beyond the awards stage, the industry saw several notable executive and business developments this week. After nearly a decade with Sony Music Nashville, Liz Cost will depart her role as Vice President of International Marketing and Artist Development at the end of June following nine and a half years with the label.

Nashville also scored a major victory on the sports and entertainment front, as the city was officially selected to host Super Bowl LXIV in 2030 at the new Nissan Stadium.

The songwriting community will also gather this fall to honor two iconic figures during the 9th Annual Nashville Songwriter Awards. Vince Gill and Paul Williams are set to be recognized at the ceremony on Sept. 22 at the historic Ryman Auditorium.

Elsewhere across the business, leadership changes and promotions continued throughout the industry. RECORDS Nashville elevated Andrew Saltman to Senior Vice President of Artist Development, while Sara Gil was named General Manager. At RESULTS GLOBAL, the company announced a series of promotions and new hires, including Katherine Birschbach as Account Director, Cara Fallon as Social Media Manager and Alex Hendl as Marketing and Communications Coordinator. Internally, Aden Henke, Cami Cradock and Samantha Parrish all received promotions within the organization.

Publishing and management sectors also saw significant movement. Neil Medley renewed his global publishing agreement with River House Artists and Sony Music Publishing, while Alex Torrez and Emily Vincent officially launched Vincent Torrez Management, an evolution of Torrez Music Group. The newly formed company’s roster includes Natalie Del Carmen, Mario Flores, Sophie Gault, Braxton Keith, Gabe Lee and Zach Meadows.

New ventures and team expansions were also in focus this week. HEY NOW Records unveiled its marketing team, bringing aboard Melissa McGreevy as Senior Director of Digital Marketing, Samantha Kane as Director of Marketing and Aidan Brown as Digital Marketing Coordinator.

Meanwhile, several artists announced new label and representation deals. Cassidy Daniels and Channing Wilson signed with Country Road Records, while Solon Holt inked a deal with Trenches Records and Republic Records. Kenny Whitmire joined The Neal Agency, and songwriter Davis Cook signed a global co-publishing agreement with Warner Chappell Music and Twelve6 Entertainment.

Additional signings rounded out the week, with singer-songwriter and producer Brock Phillips joining Big Loud Records and Local Hay Records, while Music City Power Company announced Six One Five Collective as its flagship artist.

Cole has amassed more than 700 million on-demand streams and built a following of over 3 million across platforms. She has shared stages with artists including Jelly Roll, Jon Pardi, Jordan Davis and Dierks Bentley.

Cole is currently on her “Love You To Death Tour” through October.
