Grand Ole Opry Returns To Bonnaroo

The Grand Ole Opry will return for the upcoming 2019 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, which takes place June 13-16 at Great Stage Park just outside Manchester, Tennessee.

Grand Ole Opry at Bonnaroo is set for the festival’s opening night (June 13) and will include performances from Old Crow Medicine Show, along with fellow Opry members Ricky Skaggs, Riders In The Sky, special guests Steve Earle, Morgan Evans, Ashley Monroe, Molly Tuttle, and Wendy Moten, the Opry Square Dancers and Opry announcer Bill Cody.

The event will be broadcast live via opry.com and wsmonline.com, as well as the show’s flagship home, Nashville’s 650 AM-WSM.

“The Opry’s inaugural trip to Bonnaroo last year was nothing short of amazing,” says Sally Williams, Senior Vice President of Programming and Artist Relations for Opry Entertainment Group. “All of us fortunate enough to be part of that performance loved watching some of the world’s biggest music fans connect with the Opry, many for the first time. It definitely was one of the highlights of 2018, and when we look at the line-up of artists who have signed on for next month’s show, we have no doubt that performance is going to be just as memorable.”

Frank Sinatra-Inspired Bar And Lounge Coming To Nashville

Bill Miller‘s Icon Entertainment Group is set to add a Frank Sinatra-inspired bar and lounge to Nashville in 2020. Icon Entertainment Group, which operates and manages The Johnny Cash Museum, The Patsy Cline Museum, Nudie’s Honky Tonk, House of Cards, and Skull’s Rainbow Room, will open Sinatra Bar And Lounge in partnership with Frank Sinatra Enterprises.

The new offering will be housed in the historic Southern Turf building in Printer’s Alley. The Queen Anne structure was built in 1839. The bar and lounge’s menu will feature many of the Chairman of the Board’s favorite Italian recipes, in addition to a “set ’em up Joe” old school cocktail menu.  Sinatra’s drink of choice Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, or Old No. 7 as he referred to it, will be front and center, along with the new Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Select.

“It’s a pleasure and an honor for our family to partner with the Sinatra family to bring what promises to be one of Nashville’s—and the Southeast’s—most notable establishments,” says Bill Miller, founder of Icon Entertainment.

“We are thrilled that our Dad, who loved good songs, good food and good spirits, will now be part of Music City’s creative and vibrant landscape,” says Nancy and Tina Sinatra.

Daniel Tashian Inks Management Deal

Daniel Tashian

Daniel Tashian, known for his award-winning work on Kacey Musgraves’ album Golden Hour, has signed with Los Angeles-based producer-management firm McDonough Management Inc. Run by Frank McDonough, the company represents producers, engineers, and mixers.

Tashian, who is also aligned with Nashville-based Big Yellow Dog Music, joins McDonough’s roster of producers such as John Fields (Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, P!nk), Joe Barresi (Weezer, Sheryl Crow), Mike Clink (Guns N’ Roses, Mötley Crüe), and more.

“I’ve been a fan of Daniel Tashian for over twenty years, ever since hearing his debut album produced by T Bone Burnett,” says McDonough. “Later, I was captivated by the Silver Seas, and then discovered Daniel was the creative force behind the band. Like so many others, I was completely charmed by Kacey Musgraves’ album, Golden Hour, only to learn that Daniel helped her write and record those songs. I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with someone whose music I’ve admired for so long.”

Tashian is also known for his work on Lucie Silvas’ E.G.O., folk-pop sister duo Lily & Madeleine’s Canterbury Girls, and Tenille Townes’ debut EP. He is also the lead singer of indie pop-rock band The Silver Seas, and he recently completed the children’s album I Love Rainy Days.
