Margo Price Sets First Ryman Headlining Show

Margo Price will headline Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium for the first time on May 19, 2018. Tickets go on sale this Friday, Dec. 8 and Tyler Childers will support.

In October 2017, Price released All American Made, her second album via Third Man Records.

Buster Phillips Joins WME’s Nashville Office

WME’s Nashville office has added Buster Phillips as a rock agent, a move that follows last week’s announcements that Scott Clayton and Matthew Morgan have joined the agency. Phillips, Clayton and Morgan all join WME from CAA.

At CAA, Phillips led the college booking group and later became Co-Head of their festival booking group. Phillips is currently a member of Leadership Music.

During his career, Phillips has worked with Gov’t Mule, Iron & Wine, Third Eye Blind, The Wallflowers, Kathleen Edwards, Lori McKenna, Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors, Low Cut Connie, Savannah Conley, The Record Company, Devon Gilfillian, The War and Treaty, Amasa Hines, and Marlon Williams, among others.

Cole Swindell To Launch ‘Reason To Drink’ Headlining Tour In 2018

Cole Swindell has no plans to slow down after he wraps his fourth annual Down Home Tour in January. Instead, Swindell will embark on his first career headlining tour, the Reason To Drink Tour, on Feb. 15 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Joining Swindell for each of the dates on his first headlining tour are two of country music’s biggest rising stars Chris Janson and Lauren Alaina.

Pre-sale tickets for the Reason To Drink Tour launch Nov. 28 and will go on sale to the public in most markets on Dec. 1. The tour is promoted by Live Nation.

Since he launched his career in 2014, the Warner Bros./Warner Music Nashville recording artist previously opened tours for Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line and Dierks Bentley.

“I am excited to be able to take everything I have learned while on the road the last four years watching all that Luke, Jason, Kenny, Dierks, Tyler and Brian did as headliners.” said Swindell. “Everything from how they treat their fans, their high-energy performances, to how they treated EVERYONE on the tour. Matthew Morgan Follows Scott Clayton To WME

Music agent Matthew Morgan has joined WME as a music agent in the company’s Nashville office from CAA. This news follows yesterday’s (Nov. 20) announcement that Scott Clayton has moved from CAA to WME as partner and co-head of WME’s Nashville office.

During his career, Morgan has worked with Cam, Gavin DeGraw, Lizzo, Ryan Follese, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Phillip Phillips, Pussy Riot, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Ricky Reed, Rival Sons, Rodrigo y Gabriela, The Script, and Zac Brown Band among others.

In Morgan’s previous work with CAA, he co-headed the festival department. A graduate of the University of Georgia, Morgan joined the CAA music department in 2004 following two years at Country Music Television. He is a member of the CMA and ACM.

Eagles Set 2018 Stadium Shows With Chris Stapleton, Jimmy Buffett, James Taylor

Classic rock band the Eagles, including Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, will hit the road in 2018, with a new tour launching March 14 in Chicago. They will bring along several fellow artists for a round of stadium shows.

The trek will include stadium concerts in Orlando, Miami, Denver and Minneapolis with Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band; Washington D.C. and Philadelphia with James Taylor & His All-Star Band, and in Arlington, Texas with Chris Stapleton. All other tour dates are billed as an “Evening With the Eagles.”

The tour will include a stop at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Friday, March 23.

Tickets for the Arlington, Denver and Washington D.C. concerts go on sale beginning Friday, Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. Tickets for all other shows go on sale to the general public beginning Dec. 2 at 10 a.m.

 

 

Scott Clayton Exits CAA Nashville Office

CAA Co-Head Scott Clayton has exited the talent agency’s Nashville office, MusicRow has confirmed.

Clayton has been with CAA since 2000, where he has represented John Mayer, Train, Kings of Leon, Dead & Company, My Morning Jacket,  and more. He moved to Nashville in 1994 to launch Progressive Global Agency. He is a member of the Music City Music Council.

Following Clayton’s exit, CAA’s Nashville office co-heads now include Marc Dennis, Rod Essig, John Huie and Darin Murphy.

Garth Brooks Tops 100,000 Tickets Sold For Nashville Shows

Garth Brooks has sold over 100,000 tickets for his upcoming run of Nashville shows at Bridgestone Arena, which will close out the Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood in North America. Nashville marks the 17th city the entertainer has sold 100,000 tickets or more on during the tour. The seven show run will be the first time Brooks has played a full concert at Bridgestone Arena in seven years.

The Nashville Bridgestone Arena run includes shows on Dec. 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22 and 23. The 22nd was announced and spilled over to the 23rd just days after the initial bank of dates sold out.

Brooks has sold more than 6.3 million tickets on the tour so far, which has been presented by Amazon Music Unlimited. Last week, Brooks earned his sixth CMA Entertainer of the Year honor, a first for any artist.

Brad Paisley Extends Weekend Warrior Tour Into 2018

Brad Paisley has extended his Weekend Warrior World Tour into 2018, with added dates through April. The 26-date tour will kick off on Jan. 25 in Los Angeles at the STAPLES Center and hit Kansas City, Savannah, San Antonio, Lincoln, and more, with additional dates to be added soon.

Special guests for the tour will be Dustin Lynch, Chase Bryant, and Lindsay Ell. Ticket information will be released soon.

Chris Tomlin To Kick Off 2018 Worship Night In America Tour In April

Chris Tomlin has announced his 2018 Worship Night In America tour will kick off April 5 with special guests include Kim Walker Smith of Jesus Culture, Matt Maher, Christine D’Clario, Tauren Wells, and Pat BarrettThe tour will hit 24 markets across the U.S. including Chicago, Indianapolis, Atlanta, Philadelphia and more.

Taylor Swift Announces Reputation U.S. Stadium Tour Dates

The first round of dates for Taylor Swift’s reputation Stadium Tour were announced on Monday (Nov. 13). Twenty-seven shows were announced, including a stop at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on Aug. 25. The tour will launch May 8 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Additional shows will be announced in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

Tickets for the North American leg will go on-sale to the general public on Dec. 13. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets in advance of the public on-sale in North America via Taylor Swift Tix powered by Ticketmaster Verified Fan. Registration is currently open and continues until Nov. 28.

The announcement follows the release of Swift’s highly-anticipated sixth studio album, reputation, which released Friday, Nov. 10. According to Nielsen Soundscan, the album sold more than 700,000 on its first day of release.

Swift also performed two songs on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, including “Call It What You Want” and “…Ready For It?”
