Paradigm Talent Agency Adds Chappel McCollister As Sr. VP

Paradigm Talent Agency has named Chappel McCollister as Sr. VP, Strategic Partnerships. Based in the company’s Nashville office, McCollister will represent Paradigm’s music clients, with a focus on the Nashville roster, across a range of areas including brand and corporate partnerships, premium VIP experiences, product licensing, and strategic investments.

McCollister joins Paradigm from the artist management company Sandbox Entertainment, where he executive produced the Showtime documentary chronicling Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s 2017 tour, Tim & Faith: Soul2Soul. McCollister most recently worked with Mattel to launch their 60th anniversary of Barbie featuring Kelsea Ballerini, and oversaw Little Big Town’s wine brand, Four Cellars. Before his time at Sandbox, McCollister was the Director of Tour Partnerships at G7 Entertainment Marketing, where he oversaw global tour partnership activations including U2 with Salesforce, Taylor Swift with Keds and Diet Coke, and P!NK with COVERGIRL.

Voting closes on Tuesday, May 21 at 5 p.m. CT. The 2019 MusicRow Awards will be presented during an invitation-only event on Wednesday, June 26. MusicRow will also honor the Top 10 Album All-Star Musicians Awards at the event, recognizing the studio players who played on the most albums reaching the Top 10 of Billboard‘s Country Album Chart during the eligibility period.

Winners will be announced at the 2019 MusicRow Awards. MusicRow‘s June/July print magazine will also debut at the awards ceremony.

The Black Keys’ “Lo/Hi” Simultaneously Tops Four Rock, Alternative Charts

The Black Keys made history on May 13 with their latest song “Lo/Hi,” as the song tops Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs, Adult Alternative Songs, Rock Airplay, and Alternative Songs charts, marking the first time any song has reached No. 1 in all four formats at once.

The song is off the band’s upcoming ninth studio album, Let’s Rock, due out June 28.Let’s Rockis a return to the straightforward rock of the singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney’s early days as a band. The album was written, tracked live, and produced by Auerbach and Carney at Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville. The second song from the record, “Eagle Birds,” debuted along with the album announce.

“When we’re together we are The Black Keys, that’s where that real magic is, and always has been since we were sixteen,” said Auerbach.

A 31-city North American tour begins Sept. 23. The “Let’s Rock” Tour will hit cities including Chicago, Nashville, New York, Los Angeles, and Austin. Special guests Modest Mouse will provide support on all dates, and Shannon & The Clams, Jimmy “Duck” Holmes, *repeat repeat, and Jessy Wilson will each open select shows on the tour. The band also headlines the 2019’s Life Is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas on Saturday, September 21.

CMA Announces Fall Dates For ‘Introducing Nashville’ European And U.K. Tour

Several of Nashville’s rising country artists will perform concerts in Europe and the U.K. later this year, as part of the Country Music Association’s Introducing Nashville tour this fall.

Danielle Bradbery, Devin Dawson, Travis Denning, Chris Lane, and Rachel Wammack will take part, as the tour runs from Oct. 10-21 with stops in Oslo, Stockholm, Hamburg, Berlin, Amsterdam, Manchester, Gateshead, Glasgow, Brighton and London.

Dawson will be joining Bradbery, Denning and Wammack on the European leg of the tour, and Lane will be playing the tour’s U.K. dates alongside Bradbery, Denning and Wammack. Tickets for all show dates will go on sale May 17 at 10 a.m. GMT, with the exception of the Oslo show, which will go on sale May 16 at 9 a.m. GMT.  With its recent launch in March, Introducing Nashville has brought the Nashville-style songwriters round across the globe, with artists taking the stage together in an acoustic lineup to share the stories behind their songs with international audiences.

“We are thrilled to be introducing this lineup of incredibly talented artists to international audiences and to revisit cities that we have toured before,” says Milly Olykan, CMA Vice President, International Relations and Development. “These artists are a great representation of what is current in Nashville right now – and a perfect way to showcase to new audiences how broad a genre country is.”

Cash Campbell is expanding his reach globally this Summer with a handful of international dates through September. Kicking the run off across the pond, Campbell will headline in London and Manchester for the first time, before sharing the bill with Eric Paslay in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and five more shows across Germany.

Campbell is also set for several stops in the U.S. supporting both Clare Dunn and Billy Currington with additional dates scheduled from coast to coast. He is celebrating the success of his latest release “The In Between” which was penned by Campbell, Kevin Bean, Geoffrey Ashcraft and producer Peer Astrom. The song climbed to the Top 20 of MusicRow’s Country Breakout Chart and broke into the Top 40 of the Billboard Country Indicator chart. He’s currently in the studio recording new music following the release of his first collection of tracks including breakthrough smash “Cannonball,” which put Campbell on the map as an artist on the rise and scored millions of streams and views across multiple platforms.

Riley Clemmons Earns SoundExchange Distinction

Riley Clemmons was honored by SoundExchange as a 2018 Year End Top 20 Breakout Artist while in her hometown of Nashville this week. The distinction comes as Clemmons’ self-titled debut album tallies more than 35 million global career streams. Clemmons’ company on the list spans genres including names such as Mitchell Tenpenny, Bazzi, Kim Petras and more alongside past recipients Billie Eilish and Imagine Dragons. The plaque was presented in front of Clemmons’ family and team including Capitol Christian Music Group and Maximum Artist Management during the annual Music Biz Conference.
