Blake Proehl Drops New Six-Track Debut ‘Hearts Don’t Break’

October 5, 2026/by Lorie Hollabaugh

Blake Proehl has released his new six-track debut EP, Hearts Don’t Break, via MCA.

Moving between high-energy, feel-good moments and songs rooted in nostalgia, relationships and the ones that almost worked, Hearts Don’t Break is the fullest introduction yet to who Proehl is becoming as an artist. “If He Ain’t Up” brings playful confidence and feel-good energy, while the title track “Hearts Don’t Break Like That” plays on Proehl’s own story of resilience and starting over. “Way Back” taps into the nostalgia of the little moments that can instantly transport you to another time, while “Always Almost” reveals a more vulnerable side, reflecting on a relationship that never quite became what it could have been.

“I’ve learned that when one door closes, another one opens, and sometimes it leads you somewhere you never expected,” says Proehl. “Having this EP finally out in the world is such a big milestone for me, and I’m really proud of everything it took to get here. I’m excited to keep growing, connecting with fans and seeing where the music takes me.”

Hearts Don’t Break arrives at a pivotal moment in Proehl’s career. Since signing with MCA earlier this year, his streams have increased to more than 25.6 million, and he’s crossed the milestone of 1 million monthly listeners. He’s currently on the road with upcoming dates in Chattanooga, Charlotte, Fort Wayne, and more.

Hearts Don’t Break Tracklisting:
1. “If He Ain’t Up”
2. “Hearts Don’t Break Like That”
3. “She Got It”
4. “Way Back”
5. “Wild Magnolia”
6. “Always Almost”
