DEK Of Hearts Makes Grand Ole Opry Debut
DEK of Hearts made their Grand Ole Opry debut last Friday (May 29).
The trio comprised of Dylan John, Emily Clapp and Kollin Bailey were invited to make their debut in the famous circle by Carly Pearce in April after covering one of her tunes on social media.
During the debut, they performed “Dear Ole Whiskey” and “Crazy Lady,” which received a standing ovation. The trio later came back out to perform “Boondocks” with Pearce.
“Getting the opportunity to stand in that circle with two of my best friends was a dream come true,” says Bailey. “After working at the Opry as a backstage tour guide and praying every time I had a tour that one day I’d get the chance to stand in that circle – it finally became a reality! It was everything I ever imagine and so much more.”
Since forming in April 2024, DEK of Hearts has won the State of Tennessee’s 2025 Tennessee Songwriters Week showcase competition, and earned national recognition as top three finalists on Team Niall during Season 28 of The Voice. They released their debut single “Taillights” in May 2025, followed by “Something in the Well” in January 2026 and “Dear Ole Whiskey” in April 2026. The group is actively touring throughout the United States, with 48 dates booked for 2026 and direct-support performances alongside Carly Pearce, Brett Young and Niko Moon.
