Rewind: 2025 MusicRow CountryBreakout Radio Chart No. 1 Hits
Since 2002, the MusicRow CountryBreakout Radio Chart has crowned No. 1 songs in the secondary country radio marketplace. In 2025, across 50 chart weeks, 27 songs earned the distinction of reaching the top spot. MusicRow congratulates each artist, songwriter and label for their accomplishments this year.
For the third consecutive year, Morgan Wallen led the MusicRow chart with the most No. 1 hits in 2025, tallying three: “Just In Case,” the two-week No. 1 “I’m The Problem” and the six-week No. 1 “I Got Better.” Blake Shelton, Riley Green, Zach Top and Ella Langley each earned two No. 1s, with Langley also appearing as a featured artist on Green’s No. 1 hit “Don’t Mind If I Do.”
Wallen also posted the longest-running No. 1 of the year, as “I Got Better” held the top position from Sept. 5 through Oct. 10. Green’s “Worst Way” followed closely behind with five weeks at No. 1, while Scotty McCreery and Hootie & The Blowfish’s “Bottle Rockets” spent four weeks atop the chart.
Two artists reached No. 1 on the MusicRow radio chart for the first time in 2025. Top achieved the feat twice with “I Never Lie” and “Good Times & Tan Lines,” while John Morgan earned his first chart-topper with “Friends Like That,” featuring Jason Aldean.
As a secondary radio chart, the MusicRow CountryBreakout Radio Chart often serves as an early indicator of future success on major country radio charts. Of the 27 songs that reached No. 1 on MusicRow in 2025, 22 went on to top either the Mediabase Chart or the Billboard Country Airplay chart.
Data from the 2025 MusicRow CountryBreakout Radio Chart is currently under review for the 24th annual MusicRow CountryBreakout Awards. Winners in eight categories will be announced in March 2026, across all MusicRow platforms.
