Rewind: 2024 MusicRow CountryBreakout Radio Chart No. 1 Hits
Since 2002, the MusicRow CountryBreakout Radio Chart has crowned No. 1 songs in the secondary country radio marketplace. With 50 chart weeks in 2024, MusicRow has added 27 songs to the list of No. 1 hits. MusicRow congratulates each artist, songwriter and label for their accomplishments this year.
Morgan Wallen once again topped the MusicRow chart the most this year, notching six No. 1 hits including the two-week No. 1s “Mamaw’s House” with Thomas Rhett and “Man Made A Bar” with Eric Church, five-week No. 1 “I Had Some Help” with Post Malone, three-week No. 1 “Lies Lies Lies,” “Cowgirls” with Ernest and “Love Somebody.” Rhett and Post Malone notched three No. 1 tunes, while Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll each earned two chart-toppers in the year.
Luke Combs, who notched three No. 1s on the MusicRow Radio Chart this year, had the longest run of 2024, with “Where The Wild Things Are” holding the spot for six consecutive weeks (Jan. 5- Feb. 9). His “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma” was also a multi-week No. 1 (July 26 and Aug. 2).
Three artists notched their first MusicRow No. 1 this year, including Ashley Cooke (“Your Place”), Post Malone (“I Had Some Help,” “Pour Me A Drink” and “Guy For That”) and Ella Langley (“You Look Like You Love Me”).
As a secondary radio chart, the MusicRow CountryBreakout Radio Chart serves as an indicator for future successes on the major country radio charts. Of the 27 songs to top the MusicRow chart in 2024, 25 of them became chart-toppers on either the Mediabase Chart or the Billboard Country Airplay chart.
2024 data from the MusicRow CountryBreakout Radio Chart is being reviewed for the 23rd annual MusicRow CountryBreakout Awards. Winners in eight categories will be revealed on Feb. 14, 2025 on all MusicRow platforms.
