Concord Label Group Adds Colton McGee As SVP, Business & Legal Affairs
Colton McGee has joined Concord Label Group as Senior Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs. Based in Concord’s Nashville headquarters, he will report to EVP of Business and Legal Affairs Gregg Goldman.
McGee will work with Goldman as a key member of the business and legal affairs team for Concord’s recorded music division. The pair will support the continued growth of the label group and Craft Recordings through new artist signings, acquisitions and management of historical rights.
Prior to Concord, McGee spent 13 years at BBR Music Group in Nashville and was central in the acquisition of BBR by BMG in 2017. From 2017 on, he handled business and legal affairs for both BBR Music Group and BMG. A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and Nashville School of Law, he has spent nearly 15 years working with both artists and labels at all levels and has contributed to the successes of many top-selling artists.
“I am thrilled to welcome Colton to Concord,” Goldman notes. “As Concord continues to expand, it is vital we have people who understand the complexities of acquisitions as well as have a deep appreciation for artists and a love for music. Colton exemplifies all of this.”
“It’s an honor to work with and help support the incredible roster of Concord artists,” McGee adds. “During my career I have seen that music has the unique ability to shape lives and I want to help empower the creators. Concord is a natural fit.”
