Carrie Underwood To Release ‘My Savior: Live From The Ryman’ Performance DVD

June 14, 2021/by Lorie Hollabaugh

Carrie Underwood is releasing her first live gospel performance DVD, My Savior: Live From The Ryman, on July 23 by Gaither Music Group in partnership with Capitol Records Nashville with distribution by Capitol Christian Music Group/Universal.

The concert was filmed at the Ryman Auditorium where Underwood brought her album My Savior to life performing the traditional gospel hymns she grew up singing like “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art.” Other highlights of the concert include a duet with CeCe Winans on the classic hymn “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” and a collaboration with Bear Rinehart, frontman of the rock band Needtobreathe, on the traditional hymn, “Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus.”

Southern gospel and harmonica legend Buddy Greene and 10x CMA Musician of the Year Mac McAnally, both of whom played on the album, also take the stage with Underwood.  The time-honored classics “Because He Lives,” “Just As I Am,” “Victory In Jesus,” “The Old Rugged Cross,” and “Softly And Tenderly” are also featured in the DVD performance.

Originally streamed live globally on Easter Sunday as a virtual live benefit concert, My Savior: Live From The Ryman raised over $112,000 for Save the Children. Pre-order for the My Savior: Live From The Ryman DVD bundled with the My Savior CD begin today (June 14) and are available here.

Additionally, on July 23, a TV special featuring performances from the My Savior: Live From The Ryman DVD will air on networks including PBS, DIRECTV, DISH TV, Circle TV, TBN, RFD-TV and more; and it will air in Canada on The Miracle Channel, Vision TV, Hope TV and CTS (Crossroads). The special will also air on GAITHERTV (Roku/Apple/Amazon) and on the Gaither TV YouTube Channel for a limited time beginning July 23.
