Sony Music Nashville Names Bo Martinovich Director, Artist Development
Columbia Nashville Director, Midwest Promotion Bo Martinovich has been named to the newly-created role of Director, Artist Development at Sony Music Nashville, effective immediately.
In his new role, Martinovich will report to Executive Vice President, Promotion & Artist Development Steve Hodges and will work in conjunction with all departments to create, implement, and evaluate new artist development strategies.
“I’m thrilled to accept this exciting, dream challenge,” said Martinovich. “Honestly, Sony Music has been part of my life even before I was born! It’s always been, and always will be, about the artists and the music. No matter the technology or delivery systems, it’s always going to be about the creative process, and I couldn’t be more thankful to Shane Allen for his leadership during my time at Columbia Nashville, and to Steve Hodges, Ken Robold, and Randy Goodman for this new unBOlievable opportunity!”
Martinovich, a Middle Tennessee State University alumnus, joined Sony Music Nashville in 1999 as an executive assistant after interning with the company’s marketing department. Martinovich has worked as a Midwest Promotion rep for Columbia Nashville since 2005. He was previously Midwest Promotion Manager for Epic/Monument and National Country Promotion Manager for Sony Nashville. Throughout his career, he has worked with stars including Luke Combs, Dixie Chicks, Tyler Farr, Miranda Lambert, Montgomery Gentry, Maren Morris, and Mitchell Tenpenny. He will continue to oversee Midwest promotions for Columbia Nashville until a replacement is named.
