Brett James Celebrates New Album At City Winery Show

Songwriter/artist/producer Brett James performed this week before a full house at Nashville’s City Winery. It was the Grammy-winning writer’s first full-band performance in 20 years and proceeds benefited MusiCares, a nonprofit charity of The Recording Academy that aids music people in need.

James performed material from True Believer, a solo album written and produced by him, that will be released later this year.

“Brett’s connection to the crowd was instant, thanks to amazing blue-eyed soul vocals and that signature storytelling. He’s created a very personal project with universal appeal,” said Ben Vaughn, president, Warner/Chappell Music Nashville.

More than five thousand dollars was raised for MusiCares.
