Maren Morris Breaks Apple Music Record For Biggest Day-One Female Country Album
With the release of her sophomore album GIRL, Maren Morris scored the biggest day-one female country album debut on Apple Music, breaking the previous record held since last year by Carrie Underwood’s Cry Pretty album, by more than 400,000 streams.
Since the release of GIRL, Morris’ overall catalog has seen a significant lift of nearly 150 percent on Apple Music. The album was also the top female country pre-added album both in the U.S. and worldwide on Apple Music.
LB Cantrell is Director of Content at MusicRow magazine. She oversees all MusicRow-related content, including managing the editorial team. Cantrell manages the MusicRow social media accounts, head up specific, large-scale projects for the company, and assist in day-to-day operations. She also manages all MusicRow memberships, and facilitates the company’s annual events, including the MusicRow Awards, CountryBreakout Awards and Rising Women on the Row. Cantrell graduated from the Recording Industry Management program at Middle Tennessee State University.
