Devin Dawson Heads To Interrogation Room In New “Dark Horse” Video
Warner Music Nashville’s Devin Dawson commemorated the release of the video clip for his moody “Dark Horse” at Nashville’s Warren Paint & Color Company warehouse, where he shot the video. Dawson invited music industry executives, as well as his Dark Horse Family, to watch the video for the very first time and to play a few songs from the Dark Horse album.
“This is a special one,” Dawson said of the introspective song he wrote with Andy Albert and Andrew DeRoberts. “This is my story and I think its a lot of [other people’s] story, too. Because of that, I wanted to make sure we got it right.”
Dawson said he read around 15 treatments until he landed on “All On Me” director, Justin Clough‘s vision to play with the parallels between an interrogation room and a recording studio. “There’s so many similarities between those two that I never noticed,” he said.
Working with Warner’s Mike Dupree, VP, Creative Services, Dawson was able to capture that vision.
