Chris Janson Celebrates Uplifting Fan Moment During Maryland Show

Chris Janson recently had a special moment with fans during a concert in Bel Air, Maryland at the APG Federal Credit Union Arena on Saturday (Jan. 11). Janson saw a group of fans with signs requesting the song “Hawaii On Me,” from his latest album Real Friends. He invited one fan to the front of the stage, and learned that she had stage IV cancer. He sang “Hawaii On Me,” as well as “Everybody’s Going Through Something.”
“What an inspirational night we had in Maryland on Saturday,” Janson said. “I am out on the road performing for those special moments with people whose souls have been touched by music and, quite honestly, those moments are the highlights of my career. When I saw all the signs for our song ‘Hawaii On Me’ and a group of people wearing Hawaiian leis, it was clear to me why they were there. It’s so powerful to watch real life happen. ‘Hawaii On Me’ is a celebration of the life you’ve lived, and I was proud to fulfill her request by singing that song. The whole moment—having her family there to experience it too—was really moving. I always want try to be the ‘Good Vibes’ guy because, ultimately, that’s what it’s all about.”
