SMACK Promotes One, Hires Three
Publishing, management and artist development company, SMACK, has staffed up for 2019, promoting Marissa Turk and hiring Trevor Provost, Jamie Cologna and Sam Sarno. The Nashville-based company, located in the newly-restored Jim Owens building on Music Row, is led by Grammy award0-winning songwriters/producers and SMACKSongs partners Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, and has developed acts such as Old Dominion, Sam Hunt, Kacey Musgraves, Brandy Clark, Walker Hayes and more.
SMACK Management, home to Monument Records’ artist Walker Hayes and up-and-comer Kylie Morgan, has promoted management coordinator Marissa Turk to associate day-to-day manager. Turk joined SMACK in 2016 as an intern, while attending the University of Alabama. Upon graduation, she was hired as management coordinator. Her recent promotion within the management structure will expand her responsibilities to artist Kylie Morgan, while continuing her work on Hayes’ team. She can be reached at [email protected].
In conjunction with Turk’s promotion, SMACK Management has hired Trevor Provost as management coordinator/assistant to SVP Development, to assist the management team and interface directly with artists Walker Hayes and Kylie Morgan. Provost joins SMACK after 2 years at Nashville-based marketing agency, REACH, as project coordinator. Provost can be reached at [email protected].
SMACK has also recruited Jamie Cologna as executive assistant to CEO Shane McAnally and President Michael Baum. Cologna comes to SMACK after 3.5 years at Creative Artist Agency (CAA) as an executive assistant. Prior to joining Nashville’s music touring department, Cologna began her career in CAA LA’s television department. Cologna serves as the primary point of contact for McAnally and Baum, and can be reached at [email protected].
Rounding out the hirings at SMACK is Sam Sarno, who joins the SMACKSongs publishing team as catalog manager. Sarno will assist the creative team and oversee SMACKSongs’ diverse catalog containing dozens of award-winning songs and chart topping hits.
