Music City Memos: Matchbox 20's Kyle Cook, The Waymore's, 'Southern Living'
Matchbox 20 guitarist Kyle Cook and his wife Sabrina have opened Cherry Blow Dry Bar in Brentwood, TN. Located at 690 Old Hickory Blvd., the business offers only blowouts, extensions, and styling. The limited services allow the company to offer services for just $35, no matter the length of hair, or style chosen. Cherry Blow Dry Bar offers 12 stations, which allows it to cater to larger parties as well.
Musician, singer, songwriter, producer and entrepreneur Cook also recently opened Tennessee Recording Company, with business partners Angela Everett, Mike Fiorentino, and Ben Shaw.

New Nashville music and food venue Acme Feed and Seed will host an evening with Waymore’s Outlaws tonight (Friday, Aug. 15) beginning at 8:30 p.m. Waymore’s Outlaws consists of former members of Waylon Jennings‘ recording and touring band, The Waylors, featuring Richie Albright (Waylon’s original drummer), bass player Jerry “Jigger” Bridges, and steel guitarist Fred Newell.
Leading the band is lead guitarist and singer Tommy Townsend.
The free show is 21+. Acme Feed and Seed is located at 101 Broadway in Nashville.

Several popular Nashville restaurants made Southern Living‘s 100 Best Restaurants in the South list. 404 Kitchen ranked at No. 3 on the list, while Capitol Grille, The Catbird Seat, City House, Husk, Lockeland Table, Pinewood Social, and Rolfe and Daughters found spots on the list.
Additionally, new restaurant Sinema in the Melrose area made Southern Living‘s list of Best New Restaurants: 12 To Watch.
